The J.E.D.I. Control System is made up of many modular components that work together through two main communication languages.

JawaScript is a simple interpreted language that allows the droid builder to easily create scripts for controlling features on their droid.  You can create effects such as opening doors, spraying a fire extinguisher, play a sound, or flash some lights... or all of these simultaneously!  The knowledge base needed to write JawaScripts can be found in the JawaScript Programmer's Reference Manual (PRM).  These scripts are simply ASCII text files stored on a USB thumbdrive that are executed as a result of a J.E.D.I. stroke.

JawaLite is a simple language for the different modules to talk to each other.  Generally, a droid builder doesn't need to learn this language; but for those wishing to customize their displays (disp modders) or create new effects modules (mod makers), the JawaLite PRM is the source to go to.
